Dulwich College (Singapore campus) was designed to cater to students of varying ages. From planning, interior design, landscaping and material selection, the concept revolves around the size – Small, Medium, Large and Free – and needs of the children throughout their formulative years. Shared facilities such as an indoor sports centre, performing arts centre and boarding school are designed for all ages. Common across each school within the compound is its own library, designed as a “window to the world”.

A student boulevard in the middle of the site, spanning north to south, serves as the main connector and view corridor linking the Early Years, Junior and Senior Schools, Performing Arts Centre, the Sports Centre and the Boarding School. This is the main thoroughfare for students to move across the various facilities, acting as a formal progressive corridor as each child grows and moves further down the boulevard.

Brick finishes distinguish the school walls, while the main circulation paths are characterised by brick-inspired patterns. The use of brick tiles, brick-inspired patterns and colours form a consistent expression across the campus. Thematically, they represent the elements of growth and nurturing, characteristics that signify “building blocks” in every student’s academic experience.
