Tan Chin Hock was a Director at KTP Consultants Pte Ltd before his appointment as Director in DP Engineers. Prior to this, Chin Hock was a Director at Meinhardt (Singapore) Pte Ltd.
He has more than 26 years of experience as a structural engineer and has delivered numerous large scale and complex projects both locally and overseas. Notably, Chin Hock oversaw the design and construction supervision of The Jewel at Changi, Asia Square Towers 1 and 2, Twin Peaks condominium, TwentyOne Angullia Park condominium, Hamilton Scotts condominium, The Seletar Mall and The Paragon in Singapore. He was part of the engineering lead in the Concept Stage of Changi T5 project, contractor’s specialist engineer in the construction of the DUO development, and the PE for the Singapore Advanced Medical’s Proton Therapy facilities.
He has also spent a significant amount of time managing overseas projects. He personally oversaw the design and the construction supervision of the Dubai Marina Mall & Hotel in Dubai, the Marina Plaza in Dubai, and the Raffles Fairmont Hotel & Apartments in Manila.
Chin Hock obtained his B.Eng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and M.Sc. (Civil) from the National University of Singapore. He is a registered Professional Engineer and an Accredited Checker in Singapore.
Chin Hock has developed a considerable amount of experience and expertise in large scale mixed developments, high rise towers construction, complex soil-structure engineering problems, and seismic engineering. He has completed a fast-tracked microelectronics plant with large cleanroom and sensitive micro-vibration criteria in the case of STMicroelectronics AMK-8 FAB. He has tackled complex 26 m high cantilever double-layer–stepped–contiguous bored pile wall at 8@Mount Sophia and full top-down constructions such as at The Seletar Mall. He assisted the Builders in the construction sequence for the DUO Development in Singapore and the Four Seasons Place in Kuala Lumpur. He led the seismic design in the Raffles Fairmont in Makati City.
