Mac Tan is a Senior Associate / Façade Consultant from an architectural background. He has been working in the façade industry for over twenty years. Before he joined DPF in Feb 2017, Mac has worked in several façade contractor companies in his first 9 years in this industry since 1998. These companies were based in the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. His extensive hands on experience in façade project management, coordination, design, procurement, fabrication, testing’s, & installation provided him with an excellent foundation in the field of façade consultancy.
After working for several specialist façade contractors, Mac joined Arup Singapore Pte ltd in 2007 as a Façade Consultant. His contractor experience provided an opportunity for Mac to guide and mentor a few team members and enhance to support the value for our delivery in each project. Due to his performance and style of delivery he was given the task to work and collaborate with international Architects on several iconic projects. Through his work on these projects he demonstrated both a close, creative and conscientious working style with the consultant team, but also a detailed and insightful approach to the documentation and review of the contractor’s submissions.
Mac has being involved in several iconic projects as a Façade Package Leader & Consultant, working with renowned international architect like Moshe Safdie, Richard Meier & Partners, Ingenhoven Architects, and many others. He has spent +5 years working full time and contributed to a large extent on the façade design for Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort & Casino in Singapore.
With Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort completed in 2010, Mac also contributed in the early design development phase for Singapore Sports Hub as part of the Arup sport and DPA, which opened 2nd quarter of 2014.
Mac’s background as a specialist façade contractor and façade consultant created a perfect balance between theory and the practical aspect of this specialized field. His experience and skills has greatly complement DPF’s delivery for each project and aims to establish DPF’s position in the façade global market.
