Singapore Green Building Week 2018 BCA CEO Breakfast Talk

Ms Angelene Chan, CEO of DP Architects, was invited as a distinguished speaker for the Building and Construction Authority (BCA)  CEO Breakfast Talk on 7 September at Marina Bay Sands. During her keynote, Angelene shared with the audience DP’s green building journey as well as the importance of building purposeful, sustainable buildings.

She also highlighted DP’s NimbleSIM and SmartFM, a software that enables designers to make faster and informed decisions and a consultancy service which analyses building facility management for integration of smart technology into the design respectively. They were developed by DP’s in-house design intelligence unit and DP Sustainable Design, a subsidiary arm of DP. They are part of DP’s sustainability initiative.

Angelene was also part of a panel discussion which was themed, “Go Green: Balancing Planet, People and Profit”. Her fellow panellists included BCA CEO Mr Hugh Lim and COO Goh Kok Huat, Mr Tony Khoo, President of International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and Mr Chia Ngiang Hong, Group General Manager of City Developments Limited (CDL).

In the panel discussion, she shared with the audience the factors that enabled DP Architects to succeed in venturing overseas, as well as the importance of nurturing a culture of sustainability in the company.

The event was part of the Singapore Green Building Week 2018, an annual event organised by BCA.
