Our Tampines Hub clinches the Silver Award for IDCS Design Excellence Award

On 21 November, Our Tampines Hub received a Silver award for the Interior Design Confederation Singapore (IDCS) Design Excellence Award 2017 under the category of Best Public Design Asia Pacific at the St Regis Hotel. The Awards recognises the best of interior design in the commercial, residential and public categories in Asia Pacific and celebrates the achievements of practitioners and students alike. With this design excellence award, IDCS seeks to elevate and promote the quality and standards of interior design.

The design of Our Tampines Hub is conceived through a participatory and engagement process since inception with over 15,000 residents of all ages and interest groups and 12 public-sector stakeholders, aimed at depicting the synthesis of Tampines’ unique physical, socio-cultural and psychological landscapes. Stemming from its community-centric ethos and the need for adjacency, co-location and collaboration opportunities, OTH is designed with key exploration involving proposed alternative spatial organisation of clustering stakeholders and their facilities by programmatic synergies.
