DP50 Gala: Celebrating 50 years of Partnerships In Design

Guided by our philosophy to create architecture of excellence that uplifts the human spirits, DP Architects has played a key role in Singapore’s built environment and the evolution of cityscapes around the world for five decades.

On 5 May, we celebrated our golden jubilee at Suntec City Convention Hall with a 1,600 strong crowd of revellers. Amongst them were our clients, partners and DPians both from the past and present. The gala not only celebrate but honour the strong partnership in designs that we built over the past five decades.

The night kicked off with a DP musical that strike a chord in every DPian and alumni present. DP50 The Musical spanned across 4 Acts. The hour and a half long repertoire presented DP’s story of growth as a local firm going global over 5 decades through song and dance by a DPian cast.

In addition to DP50 Commemorative plate collection as a way of celebrating DP Architect’s golden jubilee, the book titled DP Architects 50 years since 1967 was also published. This book was two and a half years in the making and it explores the chronicle of DP’s history since its founding in 1967. The book is set against the architectural, social and economic developments of our country –  told through significant projects. Look out for the trade edition to be launched later in the year.

As we step into the next 50 years, DP Architects would continue to help shape our nation’s landscape and to improve lives through architecture everywhere we practice.
