SBF Centre Wins 4 Awards and 2 High Commendations at SEA Property Awards |

The annual SEA Property Awards were held on the 21st of October at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, where nearly 400 of the industry’s best gathered in anticipation. The prestigious ceremony saw the SBF Centre walk away with four wins and two high commendations.
The awards received are as follows:
Best Green Development (South-East Asia) – Winner
Best Commercial Development (Singapore) – Winner
Best Green Development (Singapore) – Winner
Best Commercial Architectural Design (Singapore) – Winner
Best Commercial Development (South-East Asia) – Highly Commended
Best Office Architectural Design (South-East Asia) – Highly Commended
The SBF Centre was designed with the intention of reinstating environmental qualities back into Singapore’s dense urban condition; an object in space that conforms to the lines and needs of nature. Massings are lifted and shaped to allow opportunities of open spaces. Volumes of spaces are also carved and moulded to allow for pockets of green spaces, interspersed throughout the building. Corners are rounded to mimic the organic environment. Lines of nature are mapped onto these surfaces of various thickness and density. This undulating expression is carried up to the roof forming a unique roofscape, which, when integrated with night lighting, a distinctive architectural outline is created. A vertical urban park, with 100% green replacement is formed. |
