Angelene Chan featured in the revamped Business Times Weekend

ALL NEWS

Launched in October this year, the revamped Weekend by the Business Times (BT) introduced an interview column featuring quiet achievers and dynamic individuals making waves in their respective fields.

Chosen as one of such key personalities in the architectural industry, DP Architects’ (DPA) CEO Angelene Chan spoke about her aspirations as a young child and her love for design. In this exclusive column, Angelene shared memories of yesteryears, speaking about the values and close-knit kampong spirit from her formative years.

Drawn to an organisation with a similar spirit, Angelene joined DPA in 1990. Today, she heads this home-grown architecture firm of over 1,200 employees in 16 offices worldwide with zeal and strongly advocates design excellence.

Speaking of the quintessence of family, DPA recently collaborated with The Food Explorer Group – folks behind popular café, Grub – to open redpan, a casual eatery in Marina Square. Apart from being an experimental place for DPA to showcase its design capabilities, it is also a space for colleagues to gather for work and play – ‘the family that eats together stays together’.
