Designed by DP Architects, Novotel and Mercure Singapore on Stevens, OUE Twin Peaks and Our Tampines Hub received awards in the London Design Awards 2018. The awards ceremony was held at Richmix, Shoreditch, London.
Designed to be an oasis of calm amid the dense urban landscape, Novotel & Mercure Singapore was awarded Gold in the Architecture – Mixed Use – International Category and Silver in the Interior Design – International Hospitality Category. The sculptural 10-storey development is located along Stevens Road, and accommodates two hotels and an array of fine dining.
OUE Twin Peaks took home a Silver award under the Architecture – Residential – International Category. This high-end residential development comprises two identical 35-storey towers; each divided into two interlocking volumes to break the linearity of the tower block and to maximise external views from all units.
Our Tampines Hub, Singapore’s first integrated town hub, clinched Silver in the Interior Design – International Public or Institutional Category. Envisioned as a ‘place of many places’, its design enables and empowers residents to enrich their lives through the activities and programmes of their choice at this lifestyle destination.
The London Design Awards provide marketplace recognition across an extensive range of categories and celebrates “the creativity and courage of those who are leading the way.” The awards recognise the design process and product of planning, designing and constructing form, space and ambience that reflect functional, technical, social and aesthetic considerations.
