DP Architects’ projects win awards at the Asia Property Awards (Singapore) 2018

In the Asia Property Awards (Singapore) 2018, three projects designed by DP Architects, namely 8 Saint Thomas, Arc 380 and Centrium Square, received awards.

8 Saint Thomas, a high-end condominium located in Orchard Road was awarded as the Best Luxury Condo Architectural Design and Best Luxury Condo Development in the Asia Property Awards (Singapore). Jointly developed with Sembawang Estates Limited, the project offers a unique opportunity for luxurious, urban condo living amid a spacious landscaped garden setting.

Completed in 2018, the project redefines the ideals of modern urban living and adds an elegance to the lush skyline of Orchard Road. Speaking about the project, DPA Director Mr Wu Zhi Wei attributes the design inspiration to be taken from the works of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian who championed abstract style and favoured simple geometric elements. By invoking ‘the Mondrian spirit’, Mr Wu affirms that the design will remain relevant for years to come.

Arc 380 is a 16-storey commercial development comprising an office tower, ground-level retail outlets and a multi-storey car park. Jointly developed with Tong Eng Group, it was awarded Best Office Development. The tower takes on a curvilinear form and an upward sloping design in its façade extension that creates a dramatic profile. The site enjoys wide frontage at the junction of Jalan Besar and Lavender Street.

Centrium Square is designed to be a 19-storey commercial development comprising a 5-storey podium of retail, car park, communal facilities, a 14-storey tower of office and medical suites. Also jointly developed with Tong Eng Group, it was awarded Best Office Architectural Design and Highly Commended Mixed-Use Development.
