DP Design’s Penn Color Technology Center Wins 2023 IIDA Best of Asia Pacific Design Award

ALL NEWS

The Penn Color Technology Center has been awarded Winner of the Corporate Small Space (under 1,000 square meters) in the 11th annual IIDA Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards.

Designed by DP Design, science meets art at the Penn Color Technology Center, where technologists and creatives collaborate, ideate and innovate to help clients realise their design visions.

Through the use of thoughtful spatial programming, and organic form and material, the Center was conceived to be more than just a working office. It was created to foster cross-exchange and idea pollination via a blend of co-working and meeting space.

Unembellished with minimal to zero treatment, the selection of materials helped reduce carbon footprint in the production. In addition, the spatial programming was realised through full utilisation of existing site elements in order to reduce embodied carbon emissions.

With thoughtful injection of biophilic elements to promote wellbeing in the workplace, the Center is embraced in neutral tones interspersed with masterful strokes of darker hues that deliver a sense of warmth and hospitality for all users of the space.

The 2023 IIDA Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards recognise and honour the highest level of creativity and elevate the expectations of excellence in interior design and interior architecture projects across the Asia Pacific region.

Entries were reviewed by a jury of design professionals including Jade Li, IIDA, Senior Interior Designer, Lamar Johnson Collaborative; Midori Shim, IIDA, IIDA South Florida Chapter President, Interior Designer, Gresham Smith; Ming Thompson, IIDA, AIA, Co-Founder, Atelier Cho Thompson.
