eCO Bedok, a residential development designed by DP Architects was named as one of the winners of the Sustainability Excellence Award and Top Development Excellence Award. The Sustainability Excellence Award recognises developments that have achieved sustainability and ease of maintainability at high standards as well as BCA Green Mark certifications. The development was widely commended by the judges for its various green strategies as well as the conservation and integration of 18 heritage rain trees onsite. eCO Bedok was awarded the BCA Greenmark Gold Plus Award, Building & Construction Authority’s second-highest ranking for sustainable design in Singapore.
DP Green director Ms Yvonne Tan was invited to be part of the judging panel as the landscape architect specialist for the EdgeProp Singapore Excellence Awards 2018. Her fellow judges included Mr Ong Choon Fah, Chief Executive Officer, Head of Research & Consulting, Edmund Tie & Company (SEA); Mr Lee Liat Yang, Senior Partner – Real Estate Practice, Dentons Rodyk & Davidson; Mr Yu Shi Ming, Department of Real Estate, National University of Singapore; and Mr Quek Tse Kwant, Co-founder and Director of RT+Q Architects.
In its second year running, the annual EdgeProp Singapore Excellence Awards is organised by EdgeProp, a property portal for home-seekers, buyers, investors and real estate agents in Singapore. The awards identify the best property players and developments in Singapore, setting the ultimate benchmark of excellence in Singapore’s property development. For full transparency, the scores by the judges were audited by KPMG Singapore, one of the Big Four auditors worldwide. This year, the awards ceremony was held at The Fullerton Hotel on 3rd October and attended by more than 250 guests.
