HomeTeamNS Khatib Clubhouse Attains Honourable Mention at International Design Awards 2022

The multi award-winning HomeTeamNS Khatib Clubhouse took home Honourable Mention in the Architectural Design category at the recently concluded International Design Awards 2022. The award programme, with its international jury of design leaders and industry experts, aims to recognise, celebrate and promote exceptional design visionaries.

Adjacent to Yishun Park and across the road from Lower Seletar Reservoir Park, HomeTeamNS Khatib is designed and positioned as an “Urban Retreat” – an oasis of calm that is contiguous with its natural surroundings and thrives in its proximity to the community around it. Serving as both social catalyst and an extended home for the NSmen, the design principle underlying the clubhouse seeks to express a welcoming warmth, building an open spirit of transparency and hospitality to engender organic interactions across communities.

Boasting a wide array of amenities and facilities for residents and visitors alike, bolstered by a wide-open thoroughfare that connects the development with the nearby park, the clubhouse is accommodative and nurturing, creating an idyllic urban retreat experience that is ideal for play, relaxation and rejuvenation.

The 50m lap pool makes a bold statement, surprising visitors with its vivid orange-blue gradating tiles, echoing the association’s corporate colours, whilst reflecting the borrowed greenery of the adjacent public park and the greened facades of the architecture. The Heritage Gallery ensconced along the main circulatory thoroughfare pays tribute to the storied histories of the organisations that form the HomeTeam community.
