Northeast Heartbeat Features Our Tampines Hub

ALL NEWS

Our Tampines Hub is Singapore’s first-ever integrated community and lifestyle hub, with a broad range of facilities and services aimed at strengthening community spirit and environment graciousness.

The Hub has achieved the Building and Construction Authority’s Green Mark (Platinum), the highest rating for sustainable buildings. Residents can look forward to many ‘green’ features such as green walls, a rooftop eco-community garden where residents can cultivate plants and vegetables, and expansive greenery integrated throughout the Hub.

DP Architects Director Seah Chee Huang, who is the lead architect, shared his thoughts on the Hub in the September-October 2016 issue of Northeast Heartbeat: “The OTH project is a highly intense, enriching and meaningful community-centric project that requires multiple discourses and deliberation, from meeting rooms and drawing boards, right down to the grounds in the Tampines heartlands and back. This intensity also stems from the unique participatory design process and model of multiple-agency collaboration in such a large magnitude. I believe in the importance and benefits of social-based architecture, to purposefully co-create a project that brings our community closer in a more cohesive way, adding delight to the residents’ daily lives.”
