Bernard Tay
Director
Bernard joined DP Architects in 2001 and was instrumental in establishing DP’s presence in Indonesia early in his career. He helped complete the design development of Senayan City and Central Park Mall in Jakarta; marquee projects that paved the way for the firm’s extensive portfolio of master plans, mixed-use developments, major retail malls, hospitality projects, offices and institutions across most major cities in Indonesia.
Bernard also helped conceptualize the design for the first revamp of the Wisma Atria mall and
Centrepoint Shopping Centre, completed in 2004 and 2006 respectively. In DP, Bernard was selected as a key facilitator of the Design Department and helped raise the design standard in the firm. He was instrumental in collecting design data and helped establish the initial intranet platform (the DPiNet) for the office.
In 2012, he joined Hongkong Land as a key member of its design team and led the developer’s expansion in Southeast Asia. Based in Jakarta during his four-year tenure, he managed design and oversaw the construction of premium developments, including Anandamaya Residences (Jakarta) and Nava Park (BSD City, Tangerang).
Bernard returned to DP Architects (Singapore) in 2016 and is currently developing DP’s portfolio of design projects overseas.
