Renee Cheong

With over 20 years of experience in the field of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Ms Renee Cheong has built deep expertise in design and project management across varied building typologies in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. These include residential developments such as eCO at Bedok South, Singapore and Suncity Residences in Vietnam; industrial developments such as the award-winning Sunray Woodcraft & Construction Headquarters in Singapore and the Ikea Distribution Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and, commercial developments like Centrium Square, Singapore and Lusail Commercial Boulevard, Qatar.

Renee recognises that the climate crisis requires an urgent response and believes that the built environment sector can play a part in ensuring the sustainability and liveability of our cities. A certified Green Mark Manager, she oversees the integration of green strategies in each project with the aim of delivering optimal and sustainable energy consumption across a building’s lifecycle. As a director, she seeks to boost DPE’s capabilities and offerings towards effective delivery of greener and more resilient built outcomes across the board.

Coming into the leadership position, Renee strives to push DPE’s M&E arm to new heights while staying true to the fundamentals on which the firm is built on. She believes in the importance of imparting knowledge and upholding the values to consistently deliver on the company’s brand promise; which, she achieves through exemplary leadership and an emphasis on focus, consistency and strategic thinking for efficient and effective project delivery within her team.
