Agile Mont Kiara is a high-end residential development made up of both high-rise towers plying the highway and low-rise buildings that are tucked away next to the hilly area on site, allowing more privacy for its residents.
These towers are nestled on an environmental green deck which sits above three levels of basement car parks. On the green deck, a comprehensive range of recreational and fitness facilities can be found. These facilities include a swimming pool, children’s pool, outdoor golf range, multi-purpose courts and a gym. To top it off, a luxurious 100 metre-long Sky Club on the 29th floor provides a panoramic view of the affluent district such as the Istana grounds and beyond.
The overarching theme of a “tropical garden landscape” propelled the design team forward which eventually inspired the development’s overall master planning scheme. Understanding the importance of sustainability, the development has possesses an innovative stormwater management system that prevents flash flooding, while doubling as a steady water supply for the irrigation system for the surrounding botany. Further, each of the residential unit are natural ventilated. The design team ensures that a direct airflow from one end of the unit to the other is in place to cool down the spaces within.
Pushing the design boundaries through unconventional design methods, the project successfully integrates elements of sustainability and creativity to create a dwelling that respects both ecology and its inhabitants.
